Nairobi to Samburu:
By Road: The road distance from Nairobi to Samburu is approximately 350 to 400 kilometers, depending on the specific entry point to the reserve. The journey by road usually takes around 5 to 6 hours, depending on the condition of the roads and traffic.
By Air: Alternatively, you can take a domestic flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to an airstrip near Samburu, such as Buffalo Springs or Shaba airstrips. The flight duration is much shorter, typically around 1 to 1.5 hours.
Mombasa to Samburu:
By Road: The road distance from Mombasa to Samburu is significantly longer, usually ranging from 800 to 900 kilometers. The journey by road can take approximately 10 to 12 hours, depending on the route and road conditions.
