Maldives

The Sunny side of life

The allure of the Maldives extends beyond its surface waters. Hosting approximately five percent of the world's coral reefs, the Maldives boasts a vibrant array of colors from both soft and hard corals that create these underwater structures. These reefs provide a habitat for over a thousand fish species. Additionally, the nutrient-rich currents of the Maldives attract large marine species like manta rays and whale sharks, making it their natural habitat.

The Maldives enjoys excellent global connectivity. Numerous airlines from Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia offer regular flights to Velana International Airport, the primary entry point to the Maldives. The airport receives the most international visitors from Colombo, various cities in India, and Dubai. Additionally, there are both scheduled and charter flights connecting major European capitals and Southeast Asian cities to the Maldives.

Upon arrival in the Maldives, travelers can reach any of the twelve domestic and international airports through multiple daily flights. Regular ferry services are also available from Malé to most atolls. For those heading to a resort, transfer arrangements are typically made at the time of booking the stay. For resorts near the airport, speedboat transfers are common, while seaplane transfers are used for resorts and islands that are more distant.
